5. Mark Few knows how to win in March.

This program is no stranger to succeeding in March. I know this might seem like a polarizing statement compared to the narrative that surrounds Gonzaga but it is the truth. Ever since Mark Few took over the head coach all those years ago, the Bulldogs have not only been a consistent presence in the NCAA Tournament but also a team that typically at least performs to the expectations of their seed. In 19 years under Coach Few, the program has never missed the Big Dance and has at least met seed expectations in 14 of those seasons.

With the team expected to land a No. 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament in this season, it is therefore reasonable to predict that the team will reach at least the Elite Eight in the coming weeks. Gonzaga is one of the most consistent performers of all the top programs in the nation and Mark Few is a major reason why. Regardless of the seed or situation, Coach Few seems to always have his team focused and prepared for a deep run.

It is easy to forget about Coach Few when discussing the best coaches in the nation due to his geographic location and conference affiliation, but he deserves to be in that conversation. He has been incredibly successful in both the regular season and the NCAA Tournament in the past. This season, though, has the potential to be tremendous as he has his best roster ever in Spokane.

In the end, Gonzaga has all of the ingredients needed to win the national championship. They have the best offense in the country, insane depth, elite point guard play, and one of the best coaches in the business. Gonzaga, historically, gets a bit of a bad rep when it comes to postseason results but they could be the ones cutting down the final nets next month.
