What are the chances that Auburn wins the national championship?

I wouldn’t necessarily put Auburn’s chances of winning it all that high, but I also wouldn’t have given them great chances to make it this far at any point this year. What Auburn’s doing is so amazing specifically because it is against the odds.

Playing against Virginia will be tough, but Auburn has already played against tougher opponents. Earlier in the season, they nearly beat Duke. In just the small stretch of games since the end of the regular season, Auburn has beaten Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

Auburn has one X factor that will give them the chance to win any game. No matter what the score is, they have the shooting ability to beat the breaks off of their opponent. Virginia has one of the best defenses in the country, however. This battle will determine who wins the game. If Auburn can get hot despite the defense of Virginia, the Tigers will find themselves in the championship game.

If Auburn wins against Virginia, can they win it all?

In a word, yes. If they can beat all of these teams and Virginia, they can truly beat anyone. The greatest question mark of this Auburn team is whether or not Auburn could succeed on a consistent basis. The biggest thing about Auburn’s play style of shooting threes first and asking questions later is the fact that the three ball isn’t always falling. That style of play is considered to be streaky in the sport. However, Auburn has proven over the past few games that they are not streaky at all. Their floor is much higher than they have been given credit for. No matter who they play, they can win.

Virginia is the toughest opponent left for Auburn in my eyes. If they can beat them, they have the skill to win it all. Their path is clearer than any fan could’ve logically hoped for when they looked at their bracket.
