16) Cameron Thomas

Position: SG
Height: 6-3
Weight: 180 lbs
High School: Oak Hill Academy (Chesapeake, VA)
Considering: Florida, LSU, Miami, NC State, UConn, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest (among others)

Scouting Report: Thomas is a bona fide scorer who can fill it up from all levels. With long arms and quality athleticism, Thomas is an effective slasher who knows how to finish or draw a foul inside.

That said, his best attribute is his ability to create shots for himself off the bounce, which he can do anywhere from mid-range out to the three-point line. That skill set allowed him to average 29.7 points per game at Peach Jam, leading all players at the event.

Defensively, Thomas is fine, but he will make his biggest impact at the college level with his ability to score.

Prediction: NC State. Thomas has already taken two official visits – one to NC State and one to UConn – and those two appear to be at the forefront of his list, though he has kept things pretty close to the vest. However, the Wolfpack have been recruiting him since was a freshman, which made a big impact on him. Thomas also maintains a very strong relationship with Wolfpack head coach Kevin Keatts.

NC State is the team to beat for Thomas, at least for now, and he should slide into the starting lineup replacing Markell Johnson.
