Will Killian Tillie suit up against the Hornets?

Gonzaga star forward Killian Tillie did not suit up in the Bulldogs exhibition win over Lewis-Clark State, and it was reported that he will be questionable for Tuesday’s tilt with the Hornets.

Tillie had surgery in early-October to “clean up” his knee, according to coach Mark Few. It sounds like the procedure was minimally invasive and shouldn’t keep him out for too long.

However, Tillie has battled injuries for the better part of the last two years, and any type of surgery is certainly worth monitoring for the stretch big man.

As such, it seems unlikely, borderline foolish, for Tillie to be rushed back into action in a game that Gonzaga should win by 40.

I could see Gonzaga trying to get Tillie some game action in the next week or so, just to make sure he’s 100 percent heading into the big tournament in the Bahamas, but with the performances from freshmen Anton Watson (game-high 28 points) and Drew Timme in the exhibition win over Lewis-Clark State, it’s clear this team won’t need Tillie anytime soon.
