The second to last entry goes to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers out of the Big South. Charleston Southern is located in – get this – North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Bucs have one NCAA Tournament appearance but it came over 20 years ago in 1997. They have made the NIT twice in the past seven years in 2013 and 2015 but lost in the first round both times.

Charleston Southern may have the coolest coach name in the country with Barclay Radenbaugh leading the way. He is entering his 15th season in charge of the program and made the CIT last season, winning in the first round before being eliminated. He has one co-conference regular-season title on his resume as well.

For the first time on our list, we have an overcapacity sellout. That happened for the Buccaneers last year, in the first home game of the year against South Carolina State. That was the only sellout, as some games got just over 300 fans and some games barely got over 400.

The Bucs can draw at points, and other times not, but there is potential here. They can make the postseason, and they have, but Radenbaugh needs to develop some consistency with his program moving forward and break the NCAA Tournament drought.
