Kentucky – Buy

The loss to Evansville and struggling against Utah Valley didn’t do much to stem the tide for those who think Kentucky is overrated. However, notice this is how Kentucky starts almost every season. The Wildcats have one of the best rosters in the country and with their history and recruiting class, they earned their preseason top-five ranking. Paying attention to the rest of the scores in the country would tell you there is not one dominant team in the entire country.

The Wildcats are still coached by John Calipari who is one of the best in-game coaches in the game. He also has better talent to work with than most any other team in the country. Yet seemingly every year everyone questions if that year’s team has the chops to make it to the second weekend and compete for a final four. Yet, every single year we are all left with egg on our face. By the end of December and into January no one will be questioning Kentucky. If they are engaged and buying into what Calipari is selling, which most of his teams do, they will compete for an SEC title.

Tyrese Maxey and Ashton Hagans are the next two guards in the long line of guards for the Big Blue Nation to lead this team. Maxey has the looks of a player who could be a potential lottery pick. Kentucky is in good hands with Coach Calipari and the loss to Evansville, looks bad now, but it was one loss in a bad season.

Duke just took a loss at home to a team they should have beaten as well. Losses happen, it is unbelievably hard to go undefeated. Fear not come March the Wildcats are going to be a team no one wants on their side of the bracket, they are dangerous.
