NBA Draft 2020: Top 4 prospects separate themselves in latest mock draft

With this pick they acquired from the Pacers, Milwaukee has a chance to bolster their frontcourt depth after spending their last few first round picks on their backcourt. The Arizona freshman has been something of a revelation for the Wildcats, averaging 17.1 points per game on 73.4 percent shooting. Though not a three-point shooter, the 6-11, 240-pounder is extremely effective around the basket.
This pick is all about athletic tools and upside and, considering the Nets have had tremendous success developing their late first-round picks in recent years, this is a pair that could work. Williams is a tremendous athlete at 6-8 and 225 pounds who really excels defensively and attacking the basket. He is inconsistent as a shooter and overall offensive presence, but he has a chance to earn some minutes with this physical gifts and defensive motor.
Expect Lewis to continue rising up draft boards, but the Raptors would be ecstatic if they could land him. Lowry might be playing his last year in Toronto and the Raptors really only have Fred VanVleet behind him, and they’re using him at off-guard a lot. Lewis is the rare 18-year-old sophomore (he won’t turn 19 until April) who has shown the physical tools (he’s extremely quick at 6-3) and production (19.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.6 apg) that excites NBA scouts despite the lack of a consistent jumper.
Nwora certainly does not lack a consistent jumper. In fact, it’s one of the best parts of his game and is something the Heat are prioritizing. Miami also doesn’t have tremendous depth on the wing, making this a good fit.
The Mavs are committed to playing Kristaps Porzingis at the four spot and have gotten by with Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber at the center. Isaiah Stewart is an athletic, bruising 6-9 big man who excels on the glass and would provide an interior presence. He has lottery talent but could slide due to Vernon Carey’s emergence and the lack of a need for true big men in the NBA, and that would work to Dallas’ benefit in this case.
