18. Yale Bulldogs 10-4 (0-0 in Ivy League)

A tough three-point loss at North Carolina ended an impressive seven-game winning streak that included victories over Clemson, Vermont and Bucknell. Paul Atkinson and Azar Swain are two of the best players in the Ivy League, while point guard Eric Monroe has been solid as the lead distributor. Yale has a chance to get an early edge on Harvard in the conference battle, with five of the first seven games coming at home.

17. Wright State Raiders 14-3 (4-0 in Horizon League)

The Raiders have been more than just Loudon Love, with seniors Billy Wampler and Cole Gentry having big years as well to lead the team to a 4-0 start in the Horizon. The offense has been awesome for Wright State, scoring 90+ points in two of the first four games. They’re in the middle of a four-game road trip, with games at both IUPUI and Illinois-Chicago coming up this weekend. If they can get by that unscathed, the Raiders can really go on a run, with seven of the following nine games all coming at home.

16. Colgate Raiders 12-4 (3-0 in Patriot League)

With all five starters averaging in double figures, Colgate’s starting lineup has so far been too much for the rest of the Patriot League to deal with. That includes 92 total points scored in a win against Loyola (MD) most recently. The Raiders have been as good as advertised and will be at the top of the league the rest of the way. But January 20th, where they’ll take on Bucknell will what matters for Patriot League supremacy.
