1. Villanova only has a six-man rotation but it’s a good one

Villanova is 12-3 and year after year Jay Wright gets it done no matter the names on the roster. There may be no All-Americans or guys you would choose first if you were building a team, but they are a strong team once again, not a particularly deep one, but the six guys in the rotation are very good.

The Wildcats’ main rotation consists of just six players that account for 70.7 of the team’s 75.5 points per game, led by sophomore Saddiq Bey who nets 15.3, and juniors Jermaine Samuels and Collin Gillespie who add 24.8 points, eight rebounds, and 6.7 assists. The remainder of the rotation consists of three underclassmen, a sophomore and two freshmen. The sophomore is forward Cole Swider who has put up a line of 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, so far this season while shooting a stellar 51% from the field.

The two first-year players that have made an immediate impact are guard Justin Moore and forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. The young duo ranks 3rd and 4th respectively in scoring and Robinson-Earl leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 9.5 per game. The Wildcats won’t be running waves and waves of players at you, but the ones they do, have been getting the job done.
