No one in the country has been as consistently great as Obi Toppin, who continues to put up big numbers in highlight-reel performances for Dayton. Oh, and the Flyers keep winning, too.

Dayton has won 11 games in a row, including a 9-0 start in A-10 play, and still hasn’t lost a game in regulation this year. That includes an easy 70-56 win over Fordham last weekend, the only game the Flyers played last week.

And, like always, Toppin led the way with 18 points, six rebounds, and a myriad of highlights.

Dayton head coach Anthony Grant offered Toppin praise in a recent Washington Post article, saying Toppin’s energy is what has helped the Flyers make the leap they have this season.

"“His joy for playing the game is visible to anybody that watches him. He enjoys competing. He really enjoys being out there with his teammates. And then I think his ceiling is still really high.”"

That ceiling has him projected to be a top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft but, as long as Dayton keeps winning, it may help him win this award in the coming weeks.
