The Pac-12 standings are as jumbled as the start of a marathon

While the conference has been improved over last year, it still, like many other conferences in college basketball has been tough to figure out. They have two teams ranked in the top 25, Colorado who is tied for the league lead at No. 16 and the Buffaloes co-leader Oregon at No. 17. After those two, teams three through 11 are separated by just three games in the loss column, only defending champion Washington is off that pace, currently sitting at 2-10 in conference play.

Both of the Arizona schools have had bounce-back years and are currently tied at 7-4 in the conference, and right behind them, both UCLA and USC have had solid years, UCLA under new coach Mick Cronin and USC thanks to the emergence of freshman Onyeka Okongwu. After that, the Stanford Cardinal were on the verge of hitting the national polls, but have suddenly hit the skids, losing not only six of their last seven, but recently had leading scorer Oscar Da Silva suffer a head injury against Colorado.

With a trio of teams that were expected to struggle, behind the Cardinal, Utah, Washington State and California still proving to be dangerous, as Washington State has wins over UCLA, Oregon, and Arizona State, there is a lot to be decided in a very muddled Pac-12.
