North Carolina State Wolfpack – Buy

The Wolfpack has a resume that puts them a leg up on some bubble teams if you just look at the metrics only. NC State doesn’t have any great wins other than Duke or any terrible losses. They do have three losses in quad 3 but those losses along with their win over Duke is what is likely going to keep them securely on the bubble. If the Wolfpack continue to win they will be in the NCAA tournament.

As it currently sits, NC State is 5-3 in quad 1 with three of those wins coming on the road at UNC Greensboro, on the road at Virginia, and Duke in Raleigh. The Duke win is a huge win and allows the Wolfpack some breathing room. Head coach Kevin Keatts had his team trending down at the wrong time. The Wolfpack is currently in the midst of losing four out of their last seven, including the Duke win. They have been swept by Georgia Tech which were losses that bubble teams cannot afford to have. Their NET currently sits at 60 heading into the games Wednesday night and with the way NC State is capable of playing it wouldn’t be surprising to see them turn it around and have an easy selection Sunday.

Their remaining schedule is brutal, but with a good run, the Wolfpack will be in the tournament. They play Duke in Cameron and Florida State. The Florida State game is in Raleigh. NC State needs to win those games to even have a chance to make the NCAA tournament. A sweep over Duke would make them a lock, with the one win and not much else in the way of great wins they are firmly still on the bubble.
