25. East Tennessee State Buccaneers

Although East Tennessee State might not rank all that high in efficiency metrics, it has been successful over the course of this entire season. Head coach Steve Forbes’ squad sits at 25-4 (14-2 SoCon) for the season and has won seven consecutive games. The Buccaneers deserve credit for their play as of late. They might not be a Top 25 team in the country but they warrant a spot in these power rankings. A very balanced offensive squad..

24. Colorado Buffaloes

I think I’ve been a bit too low on Colorado throughout this season. Even though the Buffaloes suffered a home loss to UCLA during this past week, they also defended their court from USC. Colorado holds a 21-7 (10-5 P12) record on the season and strong metrics as well. Their offense has been extremely efficient in conference play thanks to strong shooting from beyond the arc and that has helped push them to a strong record. While Colorado doesn’t force a ton of turnovers defensively, teams do have a difficult time finding open looks.

23. Arizona State Sun Devils

My power rankings give slightly more weight to recent events and therefore Arizona State belongs on the fringe of this Top 25. The Sun Devils have been absolutely rolling over the past several weeks while winning eight consecutive games. They now sit at 19-8 (10-4 P12) on the season and are rising up bracketology seed lines as well as power rankings. Arizona State plays at a frenetic pace on both ends of the floor and forces a ton of turnovers.
