6. LSU Tigers (5 commits)

Average Class Ranking: 6.5

LSU has been excellent on the recruiting trail for the past several years and head coach Will Wade has moved the program into the elite category. He has secured some really high-level talents since taking over and that has continued into the 2020 class. It is also important to mention that Coach Wade has utilized his strong commits of the past to put together successful seasons on the court so the Tigers are truly a program on the rise.

Cameron Thomas is a five-star shooting guard from Oak Hill Academy and is the headlining commit of this group. He might not bring elite-level size at just 6-foot-3 but is ranked at No. 23/25 in the class by virtue of his outstanding scoring ability. Thomas can flat-out fill it up and there is no reason to believe that he will not continue to be a high-level scoring threat at the collegiate level, even if it is for just one season.

Thomas is just one of five commits for LSU’s 2020 class, though. Eric Gaines (No. 79/88) is the next highest-rated prospect as a solid point guard piece while Mwani Wilkinson (No. 89/80) is a well-regarded option on the wing. Gaines is a three-level scorer that also displays strong playmaking ability – should be a major piece for the future. Wilkinson fits the mold of an elite-level wing defender that could see minutes right away based on that fact alone.

The class is then rounded out by Jalen Cook (No. 139/118) as another point guard and Bradley Ezewiro (No. 285/NR) at the center spot. Coach Wade also has a pair of transfers coming in.
