Moses Moody (Little Rock, AR)

SG | 6-foot-5 | 185 lbs | No. 45 overall

Moses Moody will arrive in Fayetteville as the top-rated newcomer for Arkansas. He is a consensus four-star prospect ranked in the Top 50 of the entire class and it appears likely that he will crack the starting lineup as a true freshman.

He has plenty of size to play on the wing at 6-foot-5 while also boasting an impressive wingspan that makes him projectable as a multi-positional defender. Moody also uses this size to be an excellent rebounder for his position, a trait that is often overlooked in the evaluation process for incoming freshmen.

Above all of those attributes, though, Moody is well-known for his dynamic scoring ability. He is a flat-out elite perimeter shooting threat with deep range and the confidence to let it fly at high volumes.

It is also important to mention that he can be aggressive off the bounce as well. Although Moody is not a tremendous passer, he has solid ball skills when attacking the basket. He has a deep bag of tricks at the rim and is also unafraid of drawing contact thanks to his superb foul shooting.

Moody is an impressively versatile prospect and it seems likely that he will develop into a primary star at Arkansas before potentially taking his talent to the NBA. His lengthy frame, two-way ability, and elite marksmanship could make him a tantalizing professional prospect with a bit more refining.

Moody is the kind of plug-and-play freshman that should see a ton of minutes right away during this coming season and he could even be one of the team’s top scorers. Arkansas is a team that loves to let it fly from beyond the arc and Moody has the ability to do just that, in addition to making things happen defensively.
