Purdue Boilermakers

Landing Ingram would give the Boilermakers the kind of player that they were hoping Nojel Eastern would develop into. A strong defender and passer who also can score at least in double-digits nightly. The team has a solid group of perimeter players but outside of Eric Hunter Jr., none of them are consistent contributors. Purdue was strong defensively but ranked near the bottom of the Big Ten in many offensive categories.

If Ingram picked Purdue, who is considered to be a real threat to land him, they could have a monster 2021-22 roster. Leading scorers Trevion Williams and Hunter Jr will be seniors, along with sharpshooter guard Sasha Stefanovic and 2021 forward commit Caleb Furst. Ingram would be a leader and top offensive option on a stacked roster, rather than being a 2nd and 3rd option somewhere else.

Stanford Cardinals

Regardless of how good the team is on the court, the academic prestige of the University will always keep them in contention for certain prospects. That includes 2020 five-star commit Ziaire Williams for next season and 2021 point guard Isa Silva. They’re considered also a real favorite to land Ingram who could join the school on a full-ride academic scholarship if he wanted to.
The issue with this potential fit is how good the surrounding cast the 2021-22 roster will be.

Williams is likely a “one and done”, while returning leading scorer Oscar Da Silva will have graduated. And guard Tyrell Terry could come back from the NBA Draft this offseason but the odds are good he’ll be gone after next year. There would be plenty of frontcourt questions after next year as well. Stanford will have to add more to make their situation on the court more viable for Ingram.
