6. Missouri Tigers

Another team that desperately could use more offense from somewhere, the Tigers will need to replace Jeremiah Tilmon, Dru Smith, and Mark Smith after they graduate. From the wing/forward position, only JUCO commit Ed Chang is on the projected roster for 2021-22. Missouri added Hawaii grad transfer point guard Drew Buggs but has struggled to add more talent via the portal in order to climb the SEC ladder.

Head coach Cuonzo Martin is looking to find a spark after the failed Porter (Michael and Jontay) experiment for the program. Stanley, who would have a major role in Missouri’s rotation in the SEC, would be the biggest name brought in since Michael Porter.

5. Louisville Cardinals

Already with a strong 2021 recruiting class, Louisville has added No. 1 JUCO recruit El Ellis, four-star power forward Bryce Hopkins, and point guard Bobby Pettiford, Jr. It’s a strong group already that’ll need both a wing and a center to round things out. That’s because grad transfer Charles Minlend Jr. will be around for just a season, as well as rising sophomore wing Samuell Williamson, who is an NBA Draft prospect.

While plenty of lower-tier power conference programs will offer Stanley plenty of playing time, the Cardinals could potentially offer that, as well as a great chance to make an NCAA Tournament appearance. There are more intriguing options for the Hampton forward possibly but Louisville, a team that has grabbed a pair of mid-major transfers already, could add a third.
