4. Arizona State Sun Devils

Things are heating up in Tempe for Bobby Hurley. After signing the 7th overall recruiting class in 2020, headlined by 5-star guard Josh Christopher, Hurley is not taking his foot off the gas. In the last week, the Sun Devils made the top-4 for Bishop Gorman point guard Zaon Collins and are in the hunt for wing Lucas Taylor.

The guard-centric system for Arizona State is highly attractive to backcourt recruits, despite the sheer amount of them listed on the team’s roster. Hurley spreads out the minutes amongst his stable of guards and heavily leans on them to produce points for the Sun Devils on the floor. The team loves to run and get up shots, as they ranked well inside the nation’s top third for field goal attempts.

The potential for a minutes restriction shouldn’t be a concern for White here. The opportunities to play should come immediately and his ability as a perimeter sharpshooter is a big area of need for this team. Compared to the size of other guards on the roster, White’s 6’5” frame offers a lot of flexibility on both ends of the floor for Hurley in the team’s rotation and increases the outlook for White to make a big contribution early.
