6. Texas A&M Aggies

The Aggies showed signs of life in conference play last season, producing wins at a much higher rate than was expected. Buzz Williams first year as head coach of the Texas A&M program featured a harsh learning curve, but the experienced and passionate leader saw his players buy-in and find success. Going into year 2, the Aggies are likely to see another jump in development from their players and more comfortable within the system.

Williams managed to sign a strong recruiting class in 2020 to bolster the talent currently on the roster, but there are expected to be numerous losses heading into 2021. Pending early departures from the team, only four guards are projected to be on the roster and Williams relies on significant backcourt versatility on both ends of the floor to optimize his team’s play on the floor.

In an interview with Andrew Hattersley of 247sports.com, White specified Williams wants him to “handle the ball, probably play some of the two, play some of the three…and would have to guard a lot of positions.” There is tremendous potential for White to make an immediate impact on the floor for the Aggies and defensive potential would seamlessly mesh with the team’s goals.
