Seton Hall Pirates

Three players graduated alongside Myles Powell at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. Depending on if Sandro Mamukelashvili keeps his name in the 2020 NBA Draft or not, he and three others will be leaving the Pirates at the end of the 2020-21 season. For those mathematically challenged, that is a total of eight players that need to be replaced in two years. Three top 100 RSCI players are included in those departures, leaving just No. 62 in the 2017 Final RSCI, Ike Obiagu (2.4 ppg, 2.0 rpg) remaining.

Not only do the Pirates need a good recruiting class in order to fill out the roster, but in order to inject some talent as well. The 2021 recruiting class becomes even more important when the 2020 class is taken into consideration. Seton Hall’s 2020 class is not projected to be one of the better Big East classes, with Dimingus Stevens ranking in at No. 240 by 247sports, more importantly, they only have one other recruit.

The addition of Tray Jackson, a Missouri transfer, will give Coach Kevin Willard another former player who was in the top 100 RSCI in 2017. If the Pirates are to compete though, they are going to have to add on to point guard Ryan Conway who is currently their sole 2021 recruit.
