Arizona State Sun Devils

It’s official that Alonzo Verge, Jr. will be coming back for his senior season, while star point guard Remy Martin has yet to make a decision. If he leaves, Portland State transfer Holland Woods could potentially apply for a waiver, which would change things in terms of who the 2021-22 starting point guard will be for the Sun Devils.

This is yet another top-100 overall PG recruit that has Arizona State among their suitors, joining Frankie Collins, Zaon Collins, and Tyrese Hunter among others. Depending on who decides and potentially picks the Sun Devils, this team may not be an option for Washington. But the offensive fit for this player and the team would be nice to see.

Auburn Tigers

The Tigers are in a similar position as to Arizona State in terms of having a big need for a point guard in the 2021 recruiting class. Five-star incoming freshman Sharife Cooper is going to be around for either one or two seasons at the max. And Frankie Collins is also in the play for Auburn and could potentially decide beforehand.

The Tigers offense under Bruce Pearl has been great for previous ball-handlers and with plenty of available playing time, any point or combo guard should want to play for this program. But with only a couple of scholarships available (no projected rising seniors on the roster), players choosing Auburn early will take them out of consideration for others.
