11. team. 493. . . . Badgers

While the other three preseason contenders in the Big Ten were dealing with pivotal NBA Draft decisions, the Badgers were sitting idle with nothing to worry about. Big man Nate Reuvers already made clear that he’s coming back for his senior campaign, along with the rest of the rotation as well.

The only senior on the roster was Brevin Pritzl, who averaged 8.0 ppg and started seven games last season. They already had lost guard Kobe King, who later transferred to Nebraska before opting to leave that program as well this Summer.

Wisconsin is going to be one of the toughest teams to predict for 2020-21. They did tie for the Big Ten regular-season title but was also 7-4 in the non-conference. The defense should once again be top-tier, but the scoring offense remains a concern. Reuvers is a good player overall but it remains to be seen whether or not he can be the best player on a Final Four team.

If starting guards D’Mitrik Trice and Brad Davison can be consistent double-digit scorers, that’ll be a major boost to the Badgers on a nightly basis. They’re in a similar situation as Virginia, having an elite defense but lacking the offense to win at the highest of levels. Yet even with a Big Ten that’ll be as top-heavy as ever, look for Wisconsin to be right up there with them.
