Arkansas Razorbacks

As with seemingly every top-100 prospect or transfer, Arkansas is once again in the running. Whether they make the next round of cuts is a completely different question but this is an offense that fits Nesbitt well and playing in the SEC is an alluring factor also.

There’s also a future need for a wing, with the Hogs set to lose grad transfers Justin Smith and Vance Jackson after next season. 6’6 freshman guard Moses Moody will be around should have a role on the top in 2020-21 but may also have to wait a year for meaningful minutes. The biggest concern Nesbitt would have with this option is that the Razorbacks will always add transfers each offseason, so be prepared to have to fight for a spot in the rotation.

Illinois Fighting Illini

It’s been a great past week for the program, getting both Kofi Cockburn and Ayo Dosunmu back for another season. The likely preseason top-15 Illini will not only have to replace them but they still need to find a true wing on the roster after losing Alan Griffin to Syracuse.

Illinois already has sharpshooting guard Luke Goode committed on the 2021 recruiting class but could use Nesbitt to fill a major need at small forward. The biggest recruiting pitch this coaching staff can make to this top-100 talent is that they just convinced a pair of former top-30 players to stay in college for another year. If players truly are happy with the Illini, Nesbitt could be too.
