NCAA Basketball: Quartet of SEC Schools make 2021 G Trey Alexander’s top 7

Georgia Bulldogs
Tom Crean is looking for his next star, after this season’s departure of likely top-10 selection Anthony Edwards in the upcoming NBA Draft. The Bulldogs were an up-tempo, high production offensive group last season but struggled to stop their opponents from lighting up the scoreboard as well. Crean is ideally looking for someone with a well-rounded offensive game the team can center their attack around.
Alexander fits that role perfectly. He has the talent and consistency to be a reliable player for Crean to lean on and get the team out of slumps. The expectation for him to reach 19 points per game is not likely, as Edwards did last season, but Alexander has more room to thrive in all tangible areas of production for the Bulldogs. He can come in immediately as a secondary creator alongside junior-to-be Sahvir Wheeler and will be a noticeable presence rebounding the ball on both ends.
The best aspect of a potential move to Georgia for Alexander is the free-flowing nature of the team’s offense. Aside from plentiful opportunities to score in transition, Crean’s system is free-flowing and allows its stars to showcase all of their talents.
Alexander has an ideal opportunity to get a lion’s share of shots and looks to produce at a high level. He can develop his game for the next level with the Bulldogs in showcasing his ability as a shooter off-the-dribble, operating out of the pick-and-roll and being a physical presence moving downhill.
