Over the past five seasons:

Best Season: 2015-2016 and even though Boeheim was suspended for nine games during the season, he ended up winning eight of nine games after his suspension in ACC play including a road victory over No. 20 ranked Duke. Syracuse would reach the Final Four that season before falling to North Carolina in the tournament.

Biggest Regular Season Win: Duke plays very well on the home court and rarely loses Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils entered their game against the Orange ranked No. 1 on a weekday in the middle of the month of January in 2019. Syracuse being unranked defeated Duke in overtime by a final score of 95-91. It was an upset victory for Boeheim and his team that many did not see coming but one that will be remembered his team and himself. After their victory over the Cavaliers, the Orange would win their next four games in ACC conference play.

Defining moment: Having lost six of their previous ten games, Boeheim and his team picked up a much-needed win when they went on the road and defeated No. 18 Virginia in overtime by a score of 63-55 in early January of 2020. The Orange were 8-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play entering the game.

Best NCAA Tournament Victory:  No. 10 seed Syracuse shocked top-seeded Virginia 68-62 to advance to their first Final Four since they last have done so in 2013. The Orange were among the last four teams to get into the NCAA tournament in 2016 and defeating the Cavaliers was a remarkable achievement for Boeheim and his team.
