Powerhouse Kansas continues to try to pull in the nation’s top talent. After signing 2021 forwards KJ Adams and Zachary Clemence, on the heels of 2020 center Gethro Muscadin, the Jayhawks are lining up options to reload their frontcourt stable over the next several years.

Despite being younger options, there is considerable talent left on the roster and arriving prior to Huntley-Hatfield’s expected arrival that could create a potential roadblock to immediate playing time.

Even though his skillset is fairly unique amongst the current players tied to the Kansas program, albeit comparable to Zachary Clemence, Bill Self is not done chasing prospects in the 2022 class.

5-stars Kijani Wright and Lee Dort, as well as talented bigs Vince Iwuchukwu and Kel’el Ware, are being pursued by the program and can further complicate the expected rotation for Huntley-Hatfield to dominate minutes and on-court production. The fit for him is good, but the timing not so much.
