Winners: Gonzaga Bulldogs

Now is the best time to give the Gonzaga Bulldogs the early “Championship or Bust” label as the college basketball season is underway. They’re leading the NCAA in scoring already with 96.0 points per contest and they spread the ball around well to get their points.

Sophomore forward Drew Timme leads the way with 26.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest through the Bulldogs’ first two games. Senior wing Corey Kispert is right behind him with 24.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist,s and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 43.8 percent from behind the arc.

Highly-rated freshman Jalen Suggs doesn’t look like a freshman at all as he’s put up 18.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game in the starting rotation. Off the bench, graduate transfer Andrew Nembhard is producing 8.0 points, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 rebounds per game.

Gonzaga looks to have the depth and the talent to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. They’ve been knocking on the door in the past under head coach Mark Few, but this year could be the year that they finally get their first national championship.
