NCAA Basketball Recruiting: 2022 4-star G Ramel Lloyd Jr. trims list to 8

Washington Huskies
Washington is another program that needs all the help they can get. The Huskies signed several transfers in the offseason seems to stem the tide of their losses, but the flux in roster personnel seemed to be much more significant than originally believed. This season has been far from kind to the program and they could use reinforcements ready to contribute at a high level now.
In 2022, the Huskies will be a program full of players that currently have yet to prove themselves at this point in their careers. Guards Raequan Battle and Marcus Tsohonis have displayed flashes of their potential at times in the first two seasons of their careers, but the consistency desired has not followed. Adding in Lloyd on the wings and to bolster the backcourt provides a lot of upside potential for the Huskies program.
He has the proven capability to become a reliable scoring threat for a team with anemic streaks, as well as the length to contribute at multiple positions in both the backcourt and frontcourt. Lloyd’s length and defensive production is a natural fit with Washington’s modified 2-3 zone and its requirements of positional flexibility, IQ, and spatial awareness.
The program has made good use of players with his physical build in multiple areas of the court and he will surely be a coveted and sorely needed prospect for the 2022 roster.
