Bracketology 2021: Ohio State, USC, and St. John’s among big winners

TCU
Some Big 12 teams have been really great this season, while others have really struggled. This is true in every college basketball conference in the country, but life is different in the Big 12. In a strong league with 10 teams, it’s almost expected that half or more of these programs will make the NCAA Tournament, so why not TCU?
The Horned Frogs only played once this week, but pulled off an exciting win over Oklahoma State back on Wednesday. In the win, RJ Nembhard had 20 points while Mike Miles put up 18 points of his own. TCU was scheduled to play Baylor on Saturday, but that game was postponed.
At 10-7, with a 3-5 mark in Big 12 play, TCU has a lot of work to do, but this week was a step in the right direction. They’ve completed the season sweep over Oklahoma State but have already been swept by Kansas and Oklahoma. They nearly pulled off that big win on the road at Missouri just over a week ago; this team is clearly playing better ball recently.
Let’s be honest, TCU is absolutely a winner this week and is playing much better, but this team really isn’t going to work their way into the NCAA Tournament right? The chances for TCU to impress are growing slim, but if they can pull off a couple upsets, perhaps over Texas Tech or West Virginia in the coming weeks, then maybe they can sneak into the Tournament again.
