24. San Diego State Aztecs (15-4, 9-3)

After losing both games against Utah State a month ago, San Diego State has since won six in a row, albeit against the bottom-tier of the Mountain West Conference. The last two this week came versus San Jose State by a combined 56 points. Jordan Schakel was the star for the Aztecs, scoring 24 and 23 points respectively this week.

The competition will rise a bit for the Aztecs, taking on Fresno State two times on the road. The Bulldogs are currently 7-7 in league play but have yet to get a win over any of the top four teams.

23. Arkansas Razorbacks (16-5, 8-4)

This road trip could’ve gone either way against both Kentucky and Missouri, with the games going one bounce away from an 0-2 record. Instead, the Razorbacks won both games, including beating the Tigers this weekend in overtime. It was a collective effort overall, led by seniors Justin Smith and Jalen Tate.

Arkansas is scheduled to take on Florida at home on Tuesday unless it’s postponed via the Gators current covid issues. Same thing on Saturday against Texas A&M, who is in a similar spot. One would have to assume that the Hogs, winners of six of seven, wants to remain on the court and keep the momentum.

22. Missouri Tigers (13-5, 6-5)

As good as the week prior was for the Tigers program, this past few days were a step back. They got humbled at Ole Miss, falling by 21 points and giving up 80 total. Then on Saturday, Missouri fell to Arkansas in overtime, 86-81. Xavier Pinson had 23 points to lead all scorers but the absence of Xavier Tillmon was felt throughout.

The Tigers hope to have Tillmon back for the upcoming road trip at Georgia and South Carolina, two teams that have been scoring better as of late. Let’s see if Missouri can bounce back on both ends of the court and remain a top-4 seed for the Big Dance.
