Ball Security

Liberty’s defense places an extremely low emphasis on forcing turnovers. As long as Oklahoma State doesn’t give the Flames extra possessions for their efficient offense to work with, things should go pretty smoothly. Liberty is almost allergic to transition basketball – they rank 355th of 357 teams in points off steals according to Haslametrics.

The Cowboys should be able to get almost any shot they want in this matchup. Liberty’s defense allows field goal attempts at a high rate and their Adjusted Defensive Efficiency is fairly average. As long as they hold onto the ball, Cade Cunningham and company should be able to run the offense they want relatively unimpeded.
