1. Grant Hill

Grant Hill is hands down the best Duke player under the Coach K era and maybe ever.

Hill decided to attend Duke University and would bring the Blue Devils their first two NCAA National Championships in 1991 and 1992. He played a big role in the 1992 NCAA Tournament game against Kentucky which is considered one of the greatest college basketball games of all time.

Hill was the nation’s top defensive player in 1993 and was the 1994 ACC Player of the Year.  During his historic collegiate career, he became the first player in ACC history to score more than 1,900 points, 700 rebounds, and 400 assists.

Despite losing Bobby Hurley and Christian Laettner, he led Duke back to the championship in 1994. Unfortunately, they lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Following a successful collegiate career in Durham, Hill became the eighth player in school history to have his jersey number (33) retired and hung up in the rafters at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Following graduation, Hill was drafted third overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 1994 NBA Draft. The seven-time NBA All-Star played for 19 years professionally and collected over 17,000 points in his career.
