Jalen Green

If Jalen Suggs is the jack of all trades at this very moment, Jalen Green is the master of one. And that one is the offensive ceiling he can bring to the NBA that makes him an incredibly interesting prospect and one that could be the cornerstone of your organization.

Having just finished playing in the inaugural season of the G-League Ignite experiment, Green was the standout performer amongst his peers. Using his elite athleticism, body control, creativity, and shooting ability Green proved he can create his own offense in a very real and projectable way. He is clearly the most explosive attacker in the draft and has refined his game.

At 6’6 175 pounds, he has the perfect body type to continue to develop and add features to his game that may not be there quite yet making his upside very interesting. If he was to show the ability to be more of a defender and/or rebounder and become more of a complete player, the sky is the limit.

What makes Jalen most interesting, is that he has done all of this while playing in the G-League rather than in college. We know the G-League is closer to being a professional league and playing with and against pro basketball players, and not to mention grown men, we can add a degree of certainty onto Green that we may not be able to for the rest of the class. We know he can be a scorer and can likely score in the NBA for somebody right now.

The upside and potential Green brings to any franchise is really tantalizing. While he may not be as complete a player as some, the talent he brings in scoring with the potential to add more makes him the type of player you can envision being “that guy” on a championship team with the right pieces around him. And fortunately for the Raptors, they already have A LOT of pieces.

There is no bad team fit for Jalen Green, any team would love his pure scoring ability in their locker room. The Raptors are no different. If Jalen Green is available, expect the Dinos to pick up the young guard.
