10. James Bouknight – UConn Huskies

Although James Bouknight’s college career at UConn only lasted two seasons, he has grabbed the attention of many on a national scale. He is expected to be a mid-first-round pick.

I believe Bouknight is a great fit for any team looking for an athletic guard. He is an explosive ball-handler and passer. Bouknight’s athleticism allows him to control the offense and attack at the basket which he did for the Huskies these last two seasons.

Although he has been a dominant player that a lot of teams will keep tabs on, Bouknight is an inconsistent shooter. I do believe he can correct this in the NBA and improve.

I see the New York Knicks as a great fit for James Bouknight. The Knicks could use him at the shooting guard position sharing minutes with RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.

9. Davion Mitchell – Baylor Bears

The country isn’t learning Davion Mitchell’s name for the first time this upcoming draft. He was the national defensive player of the year this past season. Mitchell was also a big factor in Baylor’s run to the National Championship.

His ability to score and make an impact defensively will make him a threat immediately in the NBA. He can facilitate both sides of the ball and is a hustler which makes him one of the best prospects already in this class.

His game compares a lot to Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell. Despite both wearing No. 45 and sharing the same last name, their college statistics are very similar. I do also see a lot of Toronto Raptors guard OG Anunoby in Davion Mitchell.

I liked the Golden State Warriors as a fit for Mitchell. I believe he will develop into an even better guard under Coach Steve Kerr.
