6. Kai Jones – Texas Longhorns

Kai Jones, in my opinion, is one of the best defensive players in this class. He will fit on a lot of teams seeking an athletic big.

He is excellent in the paint given his defensive skills. The 6-foot-11 forward can guard multiple positions and protects the rim.

Last season, Jones averaged 8.8 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and shot 58 percent from the field. Jones is also a strong long-range shooter. He shot 38.2 percent from the three-point range.

I believe the Memphis Grizzlies are the best fit for Kai Jones. Jones is the kind of prospect that will need time but he has the right players around him. Jones will have the right young players around him. Jones will have to share minutes with Jaren Jackson Jr., Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke.

5. Jonathan Kuminga – NBA G League

Jonathan Kuminga is an athletic forward with great handles. He has a lot of potential to be a great player in the NBA.

Kuminga bypassed college basketball to join the NBA G League Ignite for one season. He averaged 15.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 2.7 assists per game. Although Kuminga‘s basketball career has not been very long and still needs a lot of development, he has experience going up against NBA-caliber players.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a great fit because of their development and rebuilding over the last few years. Kuminga should be available at pick No. 6 when the Thunder are on the clock.
