Missouri Tigers

The Tigers only have one senior on the roster and already have one commit in the 2022 class (three-star guard Christian Jones) and likely won’t have many open spots to work with later so they’re swinging for the fences for a top-100 prospect. Outside of three-star freshman Anton Brookshire, there isn’t a true ball-handler on the roster currently.

Jackson can come in and get a ton of playing time and be a featured player on the offense. And for his NBA goals, getting on the court and being the lead guard may be what’s best. The surrounding talent won’t be as good as the other options and Missouri’s odds of getting up the SEC ladder anytime soon isn’t high but among all the teams mentioned, this one will get Jackson on the court the fastest.

Ole Miss Rebels

It’s not a perfect comparison but Jackson does have similar traits as Rebel graduate Devontae Shuler, who developed into a leading scorer and passer for the team this past season. Head coach Kermit Davis has been a good developer of guards, even back to his days at Middle Tennessee.

Ole Miss will have a fairly young core to work with for years to come, including top-30 incoming freshman point guard, Daeshun Ruffin. That creates a potential logjam for Jackson if Ruffin’s good enough to start but isn’t good enough to go pro early for the team. This program has quietly added several top-100 guards in the past couple of classes and we should see it pay off in a couple of years. Oddly enough, Jackson may struggle to get minutes here compared to bigger names in consideration.
