Miami Hurricanes

The roster situation for the Hurricanes features either senior guards (Charlie Moore, Kameron McGusty, Jordan Miller) or freshmen (Jakai Robinson, Nisine Poplar). The exception here is star guard Isaiah Wong, who’s likely gone after this year anyway.

Skillings could join this young core that has the potential to take the Hurricanes back towards the top of the ACC but they also have four-star wing commit Christian Watson having committed a week ago. He’d have to compete for playing time at both positions at Miami and there are a couple of other ACC programs on the list in a little better shape than them. The addition of Watson likely has this option fighting an uphill battle.

NC State Wolfpack

After missing out on a few perimeter targets, the Wolfpack are hoping to get on the board in the 2022 class. With Devon Daniels gone and Thomas Allen Jr. leaving after this season, that opens up plenty of room for Skillings to come in and get plenty of early playing time.

He’d be playing alongside talented underclassman guard Cam Hayes and can play with four-star freshman guard Terquavion Smith. If Manny Bates and Jericole Hellums leave after next season, NC State will become very guard-heavy in the future. That would work to Skillings’ benefit in terms of usage and having the ball in his hands a lot.
