2. Which player will have the biggest impact in this region?
Lurensky
Keegan Murray for the Iowa Hawkeyes will have the most impact in this region. While this Iowa offense is very interesting, the team flows through Murray. They will need his three-point shooting and driving if they want to go far in this tournament.
Burgess
If they can right the ship a bit, the guy who can have the biggest impact in this region is Jabari Smith. The Tigers’ big man has a skill set that is so unique he can take over the game in so many ways with the ability to put Auburn on his back.
Sinodhinos
Kansas is in this region and where Kansas goes, Player of the Year candidate Ochai Agbaji goes. While Agbaji is much more on the radar than Dwayne Wade was in 2003 when he averaged almost 22 points in the National Tournament, Agbaji is primed to lead Kansas on a similar run.
With David McCormack drawing double teams and Christian Braun extending the defense, the Jayhawks will go to their ‘go-to ‘ player in the biggest moments.
Loose
There’s a whole host of All-Americans in this region so it’s hard to narrow it down to just one player. If Ochai Agbaji plays at an elite level, he can lead the top-seeded Jayhawks to their first Final Four in four seasons.
However, the impact that Johnny Davis will have might be even more important, as Wisconsin will need him to play at a really high level to survive potential matchups with Kansas, Auburn, and/or Iowa.
