1. C Jaylin Williams – Arkansas Razorbacks

2021-22 stats: 10.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.6 apg

It’s two straight years in the Elite 8 for the Razorbacks, led by a pair of guards in Moses Moody in 2021 and JD Notae in 2022. But an argument can be made that there was a Co-MVP this past season in Williams, who had a sophomore breakout campaign.

Before Notae took over at point guard in the second half of the year, it was actually the big man that led Arkansas in passing. Williams was a solid offensive player and somewhat stretched the floor, while also being an All-SEC defender, known for taking many charges.

Williams’ all-around game makes him a very intriguing NBA Draft candidate and considering that the Razorbacks have the No. 2 incoming recruiting class and several transfer forwards, his stock may not be any higher. But even though there’s plenty of talent, Williams is someone that can put it all together and make them into a true national title contender.

Next. Key storylines from second week of 2022 offseason. dark

If Williams does opt to stay in the NBA Draft, Arkansas does have four frontcourt players coming into the mix. Missouri transfer Trevon Brazile, Arizona State forward Jalen Graham, and Rhode island twins Makhi and Mahkel Mitchell add more size. But none of them are as versatile as Williams, who was a key piece of the Elite 8 squad. With him back. the Razorbacks could have their best-ever team entering next year.
