1. Myles Powell – Seton Hall

Before he got to college, Powell was a fringe top 100 prospect. The 6’2 guard from Trenton made his way to Seton Hall and didn’t leave school until he had become of the nation’s very best players. He played an important role in the Pirates’ recent run of success and certainly made his mark on the program’s long and storied history.

When he scored 26 points at Iowa in his third-career game, we should’ve known that Powell was special. After a standout freshman season, he was a full-time starter and star for his final three years. Powell averaged at least 21 points a game in his final two seasons, leading the Pirates to three NCAA Tournaments and a Big East regular season title in the pandemic-shortened season. He scored a career-high 40 points against Grand Canyon and had numerous elite performances on the court.

For his senior season, Powell was named First Team All-American and Big East Player of the Year, while also named All-Big East First Team for a second straight season. He was among the top scorers in the history of the Big East, totaling 2252 career points, and was vital for Seton Hall’s most sustained success in several decades. Powell went undrafted in 2020 and has bounced around in his career, spending some time in the NBA but most recently heading overseas to continue his basketball journey.
