No. 3 Max Abmas (Texas)
Continuing the Texas trend, the Texas Longhorns have picked up one of the top guards in the portal in Max Abmas from Oral Roberts.
Abmas is a scoring machine that put up 21.9 points per game for the Golden Eagles along with 4.4 rebounds and four assists. his scoring output was good for ninth in the entire nation and Texas, they will take advantage of the new increase in scoring their backcourt now gets.
He is an immediate boost to a team’s scoring output, especially with the amount of experience he brings to the table as he enters his fifth season. In years prior, he was fifth in the nation in scoring in 2021-22 with 22.8 points per game and led the entire country with 24.5 points per game in 2020-21.
Abmas made a huge name for himself back in 2021 with that Cinderella run that Oral Roberts went on making it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. He put up 26.7 points per game over that three-game stretch where Oral Roberts put themselves on the map.
Abmas helped elevate an entire program to new heights, and now he brings his talent to Texas, a squad that is looking to make a championship push with him in his final season at the collegiate level.
