NCAA Basketball: Top 25 impact transfer pickups from 2023 offseason

No. 21 Adrian “Ace Baldwin (Penn State)
Penn State is looking to take the next step as a program, and acquiring the A-10 player of the year Adrian Baldwin is one way to get there.
Baldwin is an elite combo guard who averaged 12.7 points a game with 5.8 assists for VCU last year and will now be entering his senior season. The Nittany Lions found themselves in the bottom half of the conference last year, but adding Baldwin should help push them up that board a bit.
VCU sat atop the A-10 last year, and that was greatly in part to the play of Baldwin throughout the season.
He is an efficient scorer at every level, and with his 2.2 steals per game, he can create turnovers and play some aggressive defense in the Big Ten. His passing though is what separates him from the pack, with not a lot of point guards having his scoring efficiency along with the ability to make great decisions and make great passes on drives.
Baldwin should have a large role for Penn State this upcoming season, and with this new-look team, they may reach new heights along with the help of Baldwin if this works out.
