Alabama Crimson Tide

The Tide was a victim of late portal entrants, as point guard and SEC 6th Man of the Year Jahvon Quinerly left the team a week ago. That leaves Mark Sears and Hofstra transfer, Aaron Estrada as the primary ball-handlers. Both were more combos last season so this is a team that could use one more ball-handler for next season.

Yet it’s more on the defensive side why Alabama would want Murdix. The team lost arguably its three best individual defenders last season, including starting guard, Jaden Bradley. With Brandon Miller gone, they might not be able to win games via shoot-outs next season so having him around gives them needed depth in that particular area.

Florida State Seminoles

Last season, the depth issues were more in the frontcourt due to injuries. Right now, the questions are in the backcourt. Recently, young guard Chandler Jackson was indefinitely suspended. Plus, Primo Spears, the star transfer guard pickup from Georgetown, may not be able to play next year without a waiver.

With Caleb Mills already gone, that leaves Jalen Warley and La Salle transfer, Josh Nickelberry to run the backcourt. Not only are there scoring concerns but also on defense, which the Seminoles were awful at next season. This is an option where Murdix could very well get big minutes and could even start.
