25. Matt Tiby

Tiby is a 6’8 forward originally from Urbandale, Iowa who began his collegiate journey at Kirkwood Community College. After a season there, he joined the Milwaukee program in 2013, getting three seasons on court with the Panthers, doing plenty of damage in his time in the Horizon League.

Tiby started all 98 games he played in Milwaukee and began on a high note, averaging 12.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in his sophomore season. He also played a big role as Milwaukee marched to the NCAA Tournament, surprising winners of the Horizon League Tournament. He put up some decent numbers as an upperclassman and had a 31-point, 17-rebound game against South Dakota late in his career. Tiby averaged 15.6 points and 8.2 rebounds as a senior, hitting 37% of his 3-pointers as well.

He was a solid scorer and great rebounder, finishing among the top rebounders in the conference in each of his three seasons. He earned Second Team All-Horizon honors as a junior and found a spot on the First Team in his final campaign. He wasn’t the leading scorer but he played a major role on that postseason run in 2014, which remains Milwaukee’s most recent trip to the Big Dance.
