Recruiting battle: Alabama vs Kentucky vs UConn vs Maryland vs St. John’s vs UNC vs Michigan

The 6’3 guard from New York City is one of the toughest perimeter players in the entire class. He’s a good enough passer and playmaker to run offenses, while also being a good enough shooter to play off the ball, while also playing bigger than his size, which is also why Fland is such as good rebounder for a guard too.

Fland recently announced a list of eight options, featuring some of the biggest names in NCAA Basketball. The clear team that stands out is St. John’s, the local option among the group. New head coach Rick Pitino has done extremely well in his first offseason with the Red Storm, including recently landing Harvard native and New York native, Chris Ledlum.

Right now, this one feels like an open recruitment with Fland, with just about all of the eight programs involved still having a chance. That includes Kentucky, the juggernaut powerhouse that could use a 2024 guard to replace both DJ Wagner and Robert Dillingham.

While the west coast programs are after Zoom Diallo, let’s see which programs emerge here for Fland. If it’s not St. John’s or Kentucky, could any of the other six teams make a move?
