4. Flory Bidunga – No. 4 overall prospect

Recruiting battle: Auburn vs Duke vs Kansas

From a ranking standpoint, Bidunga is the top overall frontcourt player in the 2024 NCAA Basketball recruiting class. Not too long ago, he was a regular four-star prospect that was getting solid power conference attention. Since then, he was the talk of the town during the AAU sessions.

Listed at 6’10 and 220 pounds, Bidunga’s raw athleticism and relentless energy eventually allowed him to dominate games on both ends. He’s now a legit shot-blocker and interior presence, along with being a high-level rebounder and rim-runner. At one point, it looked as if Cincinnati and Indiana were going to be favorites but neither made his eventual final four list.

Michigan was part of that group but the feeling is that they’re not going to be a viable candidate. That leaves three, with one of them being Auburn. Coach Bruce Pearl was early on him and that has paid off to this point but the two blue bloods are also in the mix. Duke stands out because after failing to land a transfer center, they’re in a perfect position to land a star from the next recruiting class.

So can Kansas if Dickinson isn’t around for longer than a year. Of course, if the Jayhawks land him, that takes them out of the Derik Queen sweepstakes, which Maryland would appreciate. And Patrick Ngongba, who has a similar list of teams after him, can probably make his own move once Bidunga decides.
