24. Malik Miller

A 6’4 wing from Washington, DC, Miller had decent production across five seasons at Morgan State, not too far from his hometown. He took advantage of the bonus year and watched his production gradually increase across this last half decade with the Bears, finishing up with a career year this past season.

Miller’s early numbers were respectable, but he really came into his own in his upperclassman years. In both his junior and senior seasons, he’d average at least 12 points and 8 rebounds a game. Unfortunately, he did miss a few games with injuries in his final two seasons, though that final year was the most special. In another decent year for Morgan State, Miller emerged as a leader with his 17.5 points and 9.8 rebounds a game, averaging just shy of a double-double during a 5th-place conference finish.

He earned Second Team All-MEAC honors as a junior, but missed too much time to earn consideration in those final two seasons, playing in just 18 and 19 of Morgan State’s games respectively. When he was on the court, Miller was a fantastic wing and a necessary piece of the Bears’ backcourt, with above-average offensive rebounding and steals numbers. Also a member of the conference’s All-Defense team, Miller played his role well and will be a hard tool for Morgan State to replace this season.
