Power Forward

Starter – D.J. Rodman (30 mpg)

D.J. Rodman is the lone transfer portal acquisition for the USC Trojans, though he’ll be a familiar face to Washington State fans over the past four seasons. He really raised his game this past season for the Cougars, especially from behind the arc. He makes the moves from Washington State to USC after producing 9.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.4 apg on 38.1 percent from behind the arc and 41.3 percent shooting from the floor.

He’s a versatile forward presence at 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds who’s shown his growth as a rebounder, slasher and perimeter threat. He should boost the Trojans’ frontcourt with his stretch-forward ability.

Bench – Kijani Wright (5 mpg), Harrison Hornery (5 mpg)

The Trojans have some options and experience at the backup power-forward spot. Kijani Wright and Harrison Hornery don’t have much starting experience but both appeared in over 20 games for the Trojans this past season.

Wright made 29 appearances in 2022-23, averaging 1.9 ppg and 1.8 rpg on 46.8 percent from the floor. Hornery made 24 appearances, putting up 1.5 ppg and 1.0 rpg on 43.3 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from deep. They should both compete for minutes at the backup power forward role.
