10. Auburn Tigers

Auburn had plenty of frontcourt depth that was effective last season. So much so that five-star freshman big man Yohan Traore wasn’t able to get any minutes and ultimately had to transfer out, along with true center, Babatunde Akingbola. The good news is that the rest of the upperclassmen core has stunk around.

Johni Broome was one of the best transfers in all of NCAA Basketball last season, averaging 14.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, and 2.4 bpg, all of which led Auburn. He’s one of the best centers in the sport and his two-way ability gives Auburn a nice floor to work with. The other frontcourt starter is Jaylin Williams, who averaged 11.2 ppg and 4.7 rpg. Chris Moore, who started 16 games gives them plenty of depth, along with backup big man, Dylan Cardwell.

Replacing wing Allen Flanigan is a trio of forwards from various places. Two of them are JUCO transfers in Chad Baker-Mazara and Addarin Scott. Baker-Mazara is a former rotation piece at both San Diego State and Duquesne and can stretch the floor with an efficient three-point shoot. Scott is more of a defender/rebounder but fits in the SEC.

Even D-II transfer Chaney Johnson has the versatility to have an impact in the frontcourt, though there’s going to be a competition for minutes. Having Broome along gives the Tigers enough down low to compete but if the JUCO transfers can produce, they’ll be a major threat in league play.
