Ken McDonald Fired As Head Coach At Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky has fired head coach Ken McDonald after a 5-11 start to the season, and will replace him with assistant coach Ray Harper.

This comes after a 72-70 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in overtime, which ended in controversy after ULL had six players on the court for the final possession where they scored a bucket to win it.

McDonald and the Hilltoppers simply haven’t been able to maintain the momentum that Darrin Horn built before he exited for South Carolina.

It’s an intriguing mid-major job in a conference that has produced some very competitive teams this year, so we’ll see what type of interest there is in the position after the season.
